  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips dark or semi-sweet
Optional Add-ins
  • Walnuts or pecans for crunch
  • A pinch of espresso powder to enhance the chocolate flavor
  • Coconut flour for a lighter texture (use sparingly)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8 baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the almond flour, cocoa powder, sweetener, and salt until blended.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted coconut oil, eggs, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and stir gently until a thick batter forms. Fold in chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top looks set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
  3. Let the brownies cool in the pan a bit before transferring to a wire rack.
  4. Once cooled, slice into squares.
