Method
 

Preparation

  2. Wash the sweet potatoes under cool running water and scrub to remove dirt; do not peel.
  3. Pat them dry with a clean towel.
  4. Optionally drizzle olive oil over the skins and sprinkle with salt.
  5. Arrange sweet potatoes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or foil, giving them space to breathe.
Baking
  1. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, checking for doneness by inserting a fork or knife.
Serving
  1. Once out of the oven, slice them open and fluff the insides with a fork.
  2. Add toppings as desired.
