Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard doughnut pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, granulated sugar, melted butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Whisk until creamy.
- Sprinkle in the baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gently fold in these dry ingredients and then gradually add the flour until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared doughnut pan, filling each cavity about two-thirds full.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops spring back when lightly pressed. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Glaze Preparation
- In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, then gradually add milk to reach desired consistency.
- Dip the tops of each cooled doughnut into the glaze and set aside to let it set.
