Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces ripe bananas the riper, the better!
  • 1.5 cups rolled oats
  • 0.5 cup honey or maple syrup adjust to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon cinnamon optional
  • 1 pinch salt
Optional Add-Ins
  • 1 cup nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruits your choice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the honey or maple syrup and the vanilla extract until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until thoroughly combined.
Baking
  1. If using, fold in the optional add-ins like nuts or chocolate chips.
  2. Prepare a baking dish by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Pour the mixture into the dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
  4. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Allow to cool before slicing into bars.
