  • 4-6 pieces chicken thighs (bone-in or boneless)
  • 1 cup your favorite BBQ sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Method
 

Marinating
  1. In a bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place the chicken thighs into the bowl, ensuring they are well-coated with the marinade.
  3. Allow them to marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, ideally several hours or overnight.
Grilling
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Place the chicken thighs on the grill grates, skin-side down if they have skin.
  3. Close the lid and let them sear for about 5-7 minutes, turning once to achieve a beautiful char.
  4. Brush the chicken with more BBQ sauce while grilling.
  5. Chicken thighs are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F. Remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
