  • 0.5 cup coarsely ground coffee French roast works well
For the Flavor Infusion
  • 1 cup fresh blackberries You can substitute with frozen if fresh isn’t available
  • 3-4 leaves fresh sage Adjust to your taste
  • Sweetener of choice (e.g., honey, agave syrup, or sugar)
  • Ice cubes For serving

Method
 

Brewing the Coffee
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee and water.
  2. Give it a gentle stir to combine and let it sit at room temperature for about 12-24 hours.
Straining the Coffee
  1. Once your coffee is brewed, strain it using a fine mesh sieve or a coffee filter to separate the grounds.
  2. Pour the freshly brewed cold coffee back into the pitcher.
Infusing the Flavors
  1. In a separate bowl, muddle the blackberries and sage leaves together to release juices.
  2. Gently stir this mixture into your brewed coffee, adding sweetener if desired.
Chilling and Serving
  1. Refrigerate the mixture for a couple of hours.
  2. Serve over ice and garnish with whole blackberries or a sage leaf.
