Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder whey, plant-based, or your favorite blend
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup creamy almond butter or any nut butter of your choice
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Main Flavorings
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries if using frozen, thaw and drain them
Optional Ingredients
  • Mini chocolate chips or crushed nuts for extra texture

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients together.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and protein powder; stir to mix evenly.
  3. Add the almond butter, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt; blend until it looks like a sticky dough.
  4. If the mixture feels too dry, add a splash of almond milk; if it’s too wet, sprinkle in a little more oats.
  5. Gently fold in the blueberries to maintain their shape.
  6. Take about a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball; place on a parchment-lined tray.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
