  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel bits, plus extra for drizzling

Method

Preparation

  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and cream cheese until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Gradually add the brown and granulated sugars, beating until well combined.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and mix again.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to your wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the caramel bits gently.
  8. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto lined baking sheets, leaving space between each.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes.
  2. Look for a golden color around the edges and slight puffiness in the center.
  3. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets briefly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Finishing Touch
  1. Melt additional caramel bits in the microwave in 30-second intervals, then drizzle over cooled cookies.
  2. Optional: sprinkle sea salt on top for an extra touch.
