Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe mangoes, peeled and diced (fresh or frozen)
  • 0.25 cup fresh lime juice (about 2-3 limes)
  • 0.25 cup sugar (or honey/agave for a healthier option)
  • 1 tablespoon lime zest
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder (adjust for your heat preference)
  • a pinch salt (to enhance the flavor)
Optional Ingredients
  • splash coconut milk (for creamier texture)
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup (if avoiding honey)

Method

Preparation
  1. If using fresh mangoes, peel and dice them into small pieces. If using frozen mangoes, allow them to thaw for about 10-15 minutes.
  2. Toss the mangoes into a blender with fresh lime juice, sugar, lime zest, chili powder, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary. Adjust sweetness with more sugar or lime juice if desired.
  4. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or freezer-safe container.
Freezing
  1. Place the mixture in the freezer and every 30 minutes for the next 2-3 hours, scrape with a fork to achieve a light, fluffy texture.
