  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds Can substitute with walnuts or pecans.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • a pinch sea salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a baking dish (around 8x8 inches) with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Add peanut butter, vanilla extract, and a pinch of sea salt; mix until creamy.
  4. Fold in the sliced almonds if using.
Melting Chocolate
  1. Melt dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
Assembly
  1. Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter and banana mixture, gently swirl to combine while keeping distinct layers.
  2. Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish and sprinkle additional almonds on top.
Setting
  1. Place the dish in the freezer for about 1-2 hours or until set.
  2. Remove the bark using the parchment paper and cut into pieces.
