Ingredients
  

For the smoothie
  • 1 cup cottage cheese Feel free to use low-fat if preferred.
  • 1 banana frozen banana Fresh banana can be used if that's what you have.
  • 1 cup spinach For a touch of greens!
  • 1/2 cup milk Dairy or plant-based, your choice.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract For added flavor.
  • as needed cubes Ice cubes For a thicker texture.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Gather all your ingredients and toss the spinach into your blender.
  2. If using a fresh banana, slice it into chunks for easier blending.
  3. Add the cottage cheese and frozen banana to the blender.
  4. Pour in the milk, which helps everything meld together.
  5. Drizzle in the honey or maple syrup if you want sweetness, and add the vanilla extract.
  6. Add a few ice cubes if you prefer a colder smoothie.
Blending
  1. Secure the lid on your blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  2. Continue blending until you achieve a smooth and creamy texture.
  3. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash more milk.
Serving
  1. Pour your smoothie into a tall glass.
  2. Sprinkle a few chia seeds or granola on top for a bit of crunch if desired.

Notes
