- In a medium bowl, use a hand mixer or a wooden spoon to blend the softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar until smooth and creamy.
- Gently fold in the chopped cranberries, toasted almonds, green onions (if using), garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Adjust seasoning to your liking.
- Using your hands, scoop the mixture out and shape it into a ball.
- Wrap the cheese ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, roll the cheese ball in any remaining chopped almonds.
Serving
- Place the cheese ball on a festive platter, garnish with fresh herbs, and serve with an assortment of crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh fruit.
