  1. Begin by softening the cream cheese at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or microwave it for a few seconds.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese. Mix until creamy.
  3. Add the diced banana peppers, garlic powder, and onion powder to the mixture, and stir gently.
  4. Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
