  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
  • Olive oil for cooking

Method
 

Preparation and Cooking
  1. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  2. Add the diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Introduce the cubed chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until no longer pink, about 5-6 minutes.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a gentle boil. Stir in the dried thyme and Italian seasoning.
  6. Add the orzo pasta, reduce heat to medium-low, and let it simmer for about 10 minutes until the orzo is tender.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and mix thoroughly. Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  8. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
