For the Dip
  • 1 large cucumber, peeled and diced Peel if preferred.
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt Can use dairy-free yogurt for a vegan option.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Adjust amount to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped Or use 1 teaspoon dried dill.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Fresh lemon juice preferred.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: a dash of cayenne pepper for a kick

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Peel and dice the cucumber into small bite-sized pieces.
  2. Place diced cucumbers in a colander for about 10 minutes to drain excess moisture.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, fresh dill, and lemon juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Gently fold the drained cucumbers into the yogurt mixture without mashing them.
  5. Add a dash of cayenne pepper if desired.
Chilling
  1. Cover the bowl and let the dip chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
