  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables corn, peas, carrots—your choice!
Seasonings and Cream
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half for a lighter blend
Optional Toppings

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In your Crock Pot, combine the ground beef, breaking it up as you go.
  2. Add the diced potatoes and chopped onions.
  3. Pour in the beef or vegetable broth, followed by the frozen mixed veggies.
  4. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, stir gently to incorporate.
Cooking
  1. Set your Crock Pot to low and let the mixture simmer for about 6-8 hours, or high for 3-4 hours if in a hurry.
  2. When the cooking time is up, stir in the heavy cream and adjust seasoning if necessary.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, topped with shredded cheese, green onions, or crispy bacon bits.
  2. Pair with crusty bread or warm rolls.
