  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (dark or milk chocolate can also be used)
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (for a vegan option)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare a baking dish by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter.
Melting Mixture
  1. Heat the mixture in intervals of 30 seconds, stirring well until smooth and melted. Do not overheat.
  2. Stir in honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract until well mixed.
Combine Ingredients
  1. Gently fold crispy rice cereal into the chocolate mixture until well-coated.
Setting
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  2. Sprinkle sea salt and/or crushed nuts on top if desired.
  3. Let it cool at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes, or refrigerate for faster setting.
  4. Once firm, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.
