Preparation
- Slice the potatoes into thin, even strips.
- Soak the potato strips in dill pickle juice for at least 30 minutes.
- Remove the potatoes and pat them dry with a towel.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Toss the dry potatoes in the seasoned flour mixture until fully coated.
Cooking
- Heat oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully drop in the coated fries, a handful at a time.
- Fry them for about 5-7 minutes or until they’re golden brown.
- Remove the fries and place them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

For a healthier alternative, consider baking the fries instead of frying. Toss them in a little olive oil and roast at 425°F (220°C) until golden.
