Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Pat your salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
- Place the fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
- Drizzle olive oil over the fillets and optionally spread a layer of Dijon mustard on top.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and dried dill over the salmon, then season with salt and pepper.
Baking
- Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, until it reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
- Check that the salmon flakes easily with a fork and has a golden hue.
Serving
- Serve hot with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice and lemon wedges on the side.
