Ingredients
  

Noodles
  • 8 oz ramen noodles (fresh or dried)
Beef
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced thinly You can also use flank steak or ground beef.
Broth
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
Garnishes
  • 2 pieces green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)
  • 1 cup bok choy or spinach (optional)
  • 1 piece soft-boiled egg (for topping, optional)
  • to taste chili oil or sriracha (for a spicy kick)

Method
 

Cooking Noodles
  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil for the ramen noodles. Cook according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
Cooking Beef
  1. In a separate pan, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the thinly sliced beef and sear for 2-3 minutes until browned but not fully cooked.
  2. Add minced garlic and grated ginger; stir for 30 seconds.
  3. Pour in beef broth and water, followed by soy sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Final Steps
  1. Let simmer for 5-7 minutes until flavors come together and beef is cooked through. If using bok choy or spinach, add it for the last minute of cooking.
  2. Assemble bowls with cooked noodles, pour broth and beef over, and top with sliced green onions and a soft-boiled egg if desired. Drizzle with chili oil or sriracha for spice.
