  • 2 cups buckwheat flour Make sure to use gluten-free, if necessary
  • 1.5 cups water Adjust based on desired consistency
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Or any other oil of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder Optional for a lighter bread

  • seeds or herbs for added flavor Like sunflower seeds or rosemary

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the buckwheat flour, salt, and baking powder in a large bowl.
  3. Make a well in the center and pour in the water and olive oil. Mix until you achieve a uniform batter.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 40-45 minutes, or until the bread has a golden crust and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it onto a wire rack.
