  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (almonds, pecans, or your favorite)
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or coconut sugar for a healthier alternative)
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
  • 1 tablespoon espresso powder Adjust based on your coffee preference
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (vegan option available)
  • a pinch salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the oats, chopped nuts, cocoa powder, and espresso powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and brown sugar until well combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.
Baking
  1. Spread the granola mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through for even browning.
Cooling and Finishing
  1. Once cool, stir in the dark chocolate chips.
