  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced Add a squeeze of lemon juice if not serving immediately.
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds or walnuts (optional) Use your choice of nuts.
  • 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese (optional) Omit for vegan option.
  • 1/4 cup poppy seeds For added crunch.
Dressing Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tbsp honey or maple syrup Use maple syrup for vegan option.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry salad greens thoroughly to remove excess moisture.
  2. Place the greens in a large bowl.
  3. Slice the strawberries and add them to the bowl with the greens.
  4. If using nuts, sprinkle them over the greens and strawberries.
Making the Dressing
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the olive oil, apple cider vinegar, honey, salt, and pepper.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning for a balanced sweet-tangy flavor.
Assembly
  1. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  2. Sprinkle the poppy seeds and feta cheese on top before serving.
