Ingredients
  

For the garlic bread
  • 1 loaf loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or French) Choose your favorite type of crusty bread
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Vegan butter can be used for a plant-based option
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped 1 tablespoon of dried parsley can be used instead
For the chimichurri
  • 1/2 cup chimichurri sauce Store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (204°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, salt, and parsley. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Slice the bread in half lengthwise or into individual pieces for easier serving.
Baking
  1. Spread the garlic butter mixture generously onto each half of the bread.
  2. Place the bread on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Remove the garlic bread from the oven and spoon chimichurri sauce generously over the top.
  2. Slice the bread if you haven’t done so already and serve warm.

Notes

For extra heat, add red pepper flakes to the garlic butter. You can also experiment with different herbs in the chimichurri or sprinkle grated cheese on top before baking. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven.
