  • 3 pieces ripe avocados Choose avocados that yield slightly to pressure.
  • 1 piece lime, juiced About 2 tablespoons of lime juice.
  • 1 small red onion, finely diced Alternatively, use shallot for a milder flavor.
  • 1 medium tomato, seeds removed and diced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Optional for a milder flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped Adds brightness to the guacamole.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin A game changer for flavor!

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a mixing bowl.
  2. Mash the avocados with a fork to your desired creaminess.
  3. Squeeze in fresh lime juice immediately to prevent browning and add flavor.
  4. Add the finely diced red onion and then the diced tomato.
  5. Fold in the minced garlic (if using) and the chopped cilantro.
  6. Sprinkle in the smoky cumin and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Taste and adjust lime and salt to your preference.

Notes
