  • 12 pieces Hawaiian sweet rolls Perfectly soft and slightly sweet
  • 12 slices ham Use your favorite deli ham; smoked is excellent!
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese Or cheddar, for a sharper flavor
  • ½ cup unsalted butter Melted
Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard For a tangy kick
  • 1 teaspoon poppy seeds Optional, for texture and flavor
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For a touch of warmth
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar Optional, for a hint of sweetness

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Without separating them, slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally.
  3. Place the bottom half of the rolls in a greased baking dish.
  4. Layer the ham on the rolls, followed by the Swiss cheese.
  5. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese and gently press down to compact it slightly.
Making the Buttery Drizzle
  1. In a bowl, mix the melted butter, Dijon mustard, poppy seeds, garlic powder, and brown sugar (if using).
  2. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
Baking
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melty.
Serving
  1. Allow the sliders to cool for a few minutes before slicing them into individual pieces.
  2. Serve them warm for the best experience!
