Ingredients
  

Sausage Mixture
  • 1 pound ground pork sausage (spicy or mild, depending on your preference)
  • 1 pound cream cheese, softened Ensure cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
For Serving
  • 1 package small party rye bread or toasted baguette slices Use for serving the sausage mixture.
  • to taste Fresh parsley for garnish Optional for added flavor and garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Brown the ground sausage in a skillet over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked.
  2. Reduce heat to low and mix in the softened cream cheese until melted and combined.
  3. Add shredded cheddar cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder, stirring until melted and well combined.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. On a baking sheet, place rye bread slices or toasted baguette and spoon the sausage mixture onto each slice generously.
  3. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the tops are bubbly and golden.
