Ingredients

For the Base
  • 1 cup oat flour You can easily make this by blending oats in a food processor.
  • 1/2 cup almond butter Or any nut butter of your choice.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust based on your sweetness preference.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Chocolate Topping
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Dairy-free if you prefer.
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil For melting the chocolate.

Method

Preparation
  1. Combine the oat flour, almond butter, sweetener, vanilla extract, and salt in a mixing bowl. Mix until well combined and a dough-like consistency forms.
  2. Line a small baking dish (about 8x8 inches) with parchment paper and press your mixture evenly into the dish. Compact it well so it holds together once set.
Melting Chocolate
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in short intervals, stirring in between, until smooth and fully melted.
  2. Pour the melted chocolate over the pressed mixture and spread it out evenly.
Setting
  1. Place the baking dish in the freezer for about 30 minutes to let it set properly.
  2. Once set, remove from the freezer and slice into bars. Optionally drizzle some extra melted chocolate on top for a decorative finish.
