Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds These tiny seeds pack a serious nutritional punch!
  • 2 cups almond milk You can use any milk of your choice, such as dairy, oat, or soy. Unsweetened is a healthier option.
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder Rich cocoa gives depth and is full of antioxidants.
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup Adjust sweetness according to your taste, or use a sugar substitute for a low-calorie option.
  • 1 scoop protein powder Vanilla or chocolate flavors work best.
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a lovely hint of warmth.
  • a pinch salt Balances the flavors beautifully.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chia seeds and cocoa powder. Whisk them together to ensure the seeds are coated.
  2. In a separate measuring cup, blend the almond milk, honey (or maple syrup), protein powder, vanilla extract, and salt until fully mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chia seeds and cocoa, stirring thoroughly to avoid dry clumps.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the chia seeds to absorb the liquid.
  5. Stir again to break up any clumps that may have formed.
  6. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
