  • 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or ½ teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese or Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Cooking Instructions
  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced onions and a pinch of salt, and let them caramelize for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until they turn a rich, golden brown.
  3. Pour in the beef or vegetable broth, stirring to deglaze the pan, and add in the Worcestershire sauce and thyme. Allow to simmer gently.
  4. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and nestle them in the skillet among the onions.
  5. Cover and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded cheese atop the chicken and onions, cover the skillet, and allow the cheese to melt for another 2-3 minutes.
