Prepare the Salsa
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced avocados, chopped onion, quartered tomatoes, and minced jalapeño (if using).
- Squeeze in lime juice and sprinkle salt before gently mixing everything together.
- Set the salsa aside.
Season the Salmon
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel for crispy skin.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika on both sides of the fillets, rubbing gently to adhere.
Cook the Salmon
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
- Gently place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes without moving them.
- Flip the fillets and cook for another 3-4 minutes, until through but still moist and flaky.
Serve
- Remove salmon from heat and let rest for one minute.
- Serve hot with a generous scoop of avocado salsa on top.
