  • 2 cups water Freshly filtered for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons loose-leaf tea or 2 tea bags Black tea works beautifully; green or herbal varieties can be used.
For the milk and flavoring
  • ½ cup milk Any type of milk including dairy, almond, or oat milk for a vegan option.
  • to taste sweetener Sugar, honey, or agave are great options.
  • optional spices (cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla) Can add a delightful layer of flavor.

Preparation
  1. Begin by boiling 2 cups of water in a pot.
  2. Once boiled, remove from heat and add your tea (loose-leaf in an infuser or directly in the pot).
  3. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Strain the tea into another pot or directly into your mug, discarding leaves or bags.
  5. Gradually add in your milk and mix well until you achieve a smooth texture.
  6. Stir in your preferred sweetener to taste.

Notes
