  • 1 cup mayonnaise (homemade or store-bought) Can substitute with vegan mayo.
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, minced Add more if you like garlic.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: Chopped fresh herbs (like chives or parsley) for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat a splash of oil or a dab of butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Toss in the finely chopped onions and sauté until soft and translucent, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  3. Allow the onions to cool slightly before mixing them into the creamy base.
Mixing
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic.
  2. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
  3. Gently fold in the sautéed onions and season with salt and pepper.
Chilling
  1. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour to let the flavors meld.
