- Start by juicing the oranges. You should aim for about 1 to 1.5 cups of fresh orange juice. If you like a stronger citrus punch, consider adding the juice of a lemon as well. Strain out the pulp if you prefer a smoother beverage.
- In a sizable pitcher, combine the fresh orange juice with the sugar. Stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Next, add in the water. Stir the mixture again until it’s evenly combined. Add additional water to taste if you'd like a more diluted orangeade.
- Toss in a handful of ice cubes and stir once more.
