Cooking the Pasta

Making the Cheese Sauce
- In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
- Sprinkle in the flour and whisk for about 1-2 minutes to create a roux.
- Gradually add the milk while whisking constantly to avoid lumps. Cook until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the shredded white cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until the cheese is fully melted and smooth.
Assembly and Baking
- Combine the cheese sauce with the cooked pasta in a large bowl, ensuring all pasta is coated.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle over the pasta. Add a dash of paprika if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
