  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs tender and juicy
  • 1/4 cup honey for natural sweetness
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced fresh for bold flavor
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce to bring umami flavor
  • 1 cup jasmine or basmati rice fluffy and fragrant
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil for cooking
  • 2 green onions sliced for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds optional, for crunch
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional, for spice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut chicken into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic to make the glaze.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and sear until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour honey garlic mixture over chicken and reduce heat to medium.
  4. Let sauce bubble and thicken, coating the chicken for another 5-10 minutes.
  5. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  6. Once chicken is fully glazed, serve over rice and top with green onions, sesame seeds, and red pepper flakes.

Notes
