Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Caramel Swirl
  • 1 cup caramel sauce Store-bought or homemade
  • Sea salt for sprinkling Optional

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugar until mixed well.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined; be careful not to overmix.
Assembly
  1. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  2. Drizzle some caramel sauce over the batter, then drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter on top.
  3. Use a knife or a toothpick to swirl the caramel through the brownie mixture, creating a marbled effect.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Let cool in the pan before slicing into squares and sprinkling a pinch of sea salt on top for an extra touch.
