Ingredients
  

For the Burgers
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey Feel free to use a plant-based alternative.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For the Salad Bowl
  • 2 cups mixed greens (spinach, arugula, romaine)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)
  • 1 cucumber (diced)
  • 1/2 red onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese (crumbled)
  • 1/4 cup kalamata olives (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce Store-bought or homemade.

Method
 

Cooking the Burgers
  1. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ground meat with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Form into burger patties.
  3. Cook the burger patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side until they reach desired doneness, flipping them only once.
Assembling the Bowl
  1. While the burgers cook, layer mixed greens at the bottom of a bowl.
  2. Add diced cucumbers, halved cherry tomatoes, sliced red onion, and kalamata olives.
  3. Once burgers are cooked, let them rest for a minute before slicing them into bite-sized pieces and placing them on top of the salad.
  4. Crumble feta cheese over the bowl and drizzle with tzatziki sauce.
  5. Serve warm and enjoy!
