Ingredients

Smoothie Ingredients
  • 1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen; strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, or blackberries) Feel free to mix and match your favorite berries; each will bring a unique flavor.
  • 1 medium banana For creaminess and natural sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt For protein and creaminess. Substitute with coconut yogurt for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup almond milk Any nut, soy, or cow's milk works great for this recipe.
  • 1 handful fresh spinach Optional, for added nutrition.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Adjust based on sweetness preference.
  • Ice cubes If using fresh berries.

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by preparing your ingredients. If you're using fresh berries, give them a quick rinse and pat dry.
  2. In your blender's pitcher, toss in the mixed berries along with the ripe banana.
  3. Add the Greek yogurt and almond milk, appreciating the vibrant colors.
  4. If opting for a nutrient boost, lightly toss in the spinach. You won't taste it!
  5. Drizzle in a tablespoon of honey or maple syrup.
  6. If you want it extra chilled, add a few ice cubes.
  7. Blend everything until you reach a creamy, homogeneous texture, about 30 seconds on high speed.
  8. Stop once to scrape down the sides if necessary.
  9. Pour the smoothie into your favorite glass.
  10. Optional: sprinkle a few whole berries or granola on top for crunch.
