Method
 

Preparation
  1. Grab a large bowl and fill it generously with mixed greens.
  2. Halve the cherry tomatoes and thinly slice the cucumber.
  3. Shred the carrot and thinly slice the red onion, if using.
  4. Mix the vegetables gently with the greens in the bowl.
Dressing
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss to coat everything.
Finishing Touches
  1. Add the diced avocado gently, folding it into the salad.
  2. Sprinkle any optional add-ins like nuts or cheese on top.
