  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sour cream Or Greek yogurt as a substitute
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips Optional for added indulgence

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and mashed bananas until smooth.
  3. Stir in the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Sprinkle in the baking soda and a pinch of salt, then gently fold in the flour and sour cream until just combined.
  5. If desired, fold in walnuts or chocolate chips.
Baking
  1. Transfer the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing it out evenly.
  2. Bake for about 60-65 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
