Preparation
  1. Finely crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or a sealed plastic bag until they are as fine as possible.
  2. Mix the cookie crumbs with melted butter until fully combined to form the crust.
  3. Press the crust mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and pack it tightly.
  4. Place the pan in the refrigerator while preparing the filling.
Filling
  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  3. Fold in the heavy whipping cream gently until a light and fluffy consistency is achieved.
  4. Pour the filling over the prepared crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  5. Let the cheesecake chill in the refrigerator for at least four hours, preferably overnight.
