Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and buttermilk until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until smooth and creamy.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt, then gently fold this dry mix into your wet ingredients.
  5. Pour the batter into your greased baking dish and sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly on top.
Baking
  1. Bake for around 45 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
