Preparation
- Preheat your grill to high heat, aiming for around 450°F to 500°F (232°C to 260°C).
- Pat your steaks dry with a paper towel.
- Brush both sides of the steak with olive oil and season generously with sea salt and black pepper.
- Optional: Sprinkle some garlic powder on the steaks.
Grilling
- Place the steaks on the grill and close the lid.
- Grill each side for about 4 to 5 minutes for a perfect medium-rare.
- Use tongs to flip the steak only once to help build that coveted crust.
- Check the internal temperature with an instant-read thermometer and pull the steak off at 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
- Allow the steak to rest for about 5 to 10 minutes before slicing.
