Ingredients

  • 4 medium medium tomatoes (ripe and juicy)
  • 1/2 medium medium red onion (finely diced)
  • 1-2 jalapeños (finely chopped, seeds removed for less heat) Adjust based on heat preference.
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 1 lime (juice of) Freshly squeezed for best flavor.
  • Salt (to taste)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely dice the ripe tomatoes and place them in a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Finely chop the red onion and add it to the bowl with the tomatoes.
  3. Slice open the jalapeños, remove the seeds for a milder taste, chop them finely, and add to the mix.
  4. Add chopped cilantro to the bowl along with the freshly squeezed lime juice and a pinch of salt.
  5. Gently fold all the ingredients together until well combined.
  6. Let the pico de gallo sit for about 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Notes
