Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- If using store-bought pizza dough, gently stretch it out on a floured surface to create a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.
- Spread a generous layer of pizza sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Overlap the pepperoni slices slightly in a row toward one edge of the rectangle.
- Optionally sprinkle Italian seasoning on top for extra flavor.
Assembly
- Fold the pizza dough gently, one section at a time, creating one-inch folds to form a pleated look.
- Carefully cut the folded rectangle into strips about 1-1.5 inches wide.
- Take one strip and roll it from one end to create a rose shape.
- Place each rose in a muffin tray, standing upright.
- Drizzle a little olive oil over the top and sprinkle with garlic powder if desired.
Cooking
- Bake the muffin tin in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the roses are golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.
