Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and a dash of pepper to create the glaze.
Cooking
- Arrange the salmon fillets on one side of the baking sheet, leaving space between each piece.
- Drizzle half of the maple glaze over the salmon, ensuring each fillet is evenly coated.
- On the other side of the baking sheet, add the asparagus and drizzle with olive oil, a squeeze of lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper. Toss the asparagus to coat.
- Roast everything in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the asparagus is tender.
- Carefully pull the pan from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve the salmon topped with the remaining glaze and garnish with fresh herbs or nuts if desired.

Notes
Feel free to personalize this dish! Swap maple syrup for honey or agave nectar for a different spin. For a vegan version, replace the salmon with chickpeas or tempeh. Consider adding sriracha for a touch of heat.
