  • 1 pound shrimp (peeled and deveined) Fresh or frozen works!
  • 1 pound scallops (preferably sea scallops) For their size and sweetness.
Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons butter Or olive oil for a lighter option.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 lemon juiced and zested
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Smoked or sweet.
  • Salt and pepper To taste.
  • Fresh parsley For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Pat the shrimp and scallops dry with a paper towel to achieve a nice sear.
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add two tablespoons of butter.
  3. Once the butter is melted and bubbly, toss in the minced garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
Cooking
  1. Add the shrimp and scallops to the skillet in a single layer and season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until the shrimp turns pink and the scallops develop a golden-brown crust.
  3. Flip gently and let cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  4. Transfer the seafood to a plate to keep warm.
  5. In the same skillet, pour in the lemon juice and zest. Scrape the brown bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Add the remaining butter and stir until melted, creating a sauce.
  7. Return the shrimp and scallops to the skillet, tossing to coat well.
  8. Plate the seafood and sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving.
