Ingredients

Meat
  • 1 pound ground beef (or a mix of beef and pork for added flavor)
Meatballs
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (use gluten-free if needed)
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Sauce

  • 1/2 cup grape jelly
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Method

Preparation

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground meat with the breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, chopped onion, egg, minced garlic, and season with salt and pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into bite-sized meatballs—about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs into the slow cooker.
Sauce Preparation
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the BBQ sauce, grape jelly, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  2. Pour the sauce over the meatballs, making sure they’re well-coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover the slow cooker and let them cook on low for about 4 to 5 hours, or until the meatballs are cooked through and infused with flavor.

Notes

You can prepare the meatball mixture in advance and refrigerate it until you’re ready to cook. Alternatively, freeze them uncooked for a quick meal in the future. For a healthier version, try swapping ground turkey for beef.
