  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Bowl
  • 3 cups cooked rice (white, brown, or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option)
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce or mixed greens
  • 1 medium tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or American)

Method
 

Cooking the Burgers
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form small handfuls of ground beef into loose balls and drop them into the hot skillet.
  3. Use a spatula to firmly smash each ball down, creating crispy edges.
  4. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper while cooking.
  5. Cook for 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
Assemble the Bowl
  1. Prepare your cooked rice in a bowl.
  2. Layer the rice with shredded lettuce or mixed greens.
  3. Top with the smashed beef patties, diced tomatoes, pickles, and shredded cheese.
  4. Drizzle your burger sauce over the top and enjoy!
